From an old corral area, started following a dry creek bed with steep eroding cliff sides. Surrounding low grassy hills and flats above were one time open to grazing, with some old cattle trails still visible coming down into creek bed. Creek bottom had plenty of Distichlis spicata and few areas with Juncus balticus. Growing within creek bottom.
