On the drying shore of natural ponbds called "Snow Ponds" by local residents. Collected with Taraxia tanacetifolia and Potentilla anserina.
Annual, to 5 cm; leaves alternate, entire, coarsely hairy. Calyx free from ovary. Corolla limb 1.5mm. Stamens unknown. Ovary not lobed. Style 1, 0.6 mm. Fruit a capsule. Seeds 12--16, 0.6 mm, slightly dimpled, dark brown.
