In pumice flats. Found on the edge of an area that burned July 26-27, 2010.
Very small and yellow, growing adjacent to the more common magenta flowered M. nanus var. mephiticus. Plants of the Mono Basin. Common name: Suksdorf's monkeyflower. Detailed information observed while keying specimen is listed on a second label. Mature material is Coll. No. 799, made at the same location, 11 Sep 2011.
