Large wash on gentle alluvial slope; sandy-gravelly soil, open wash woodland with Parkinsonia florida dominant, with Prosopis, Olneya, Condalia, etc.
Fruiting
Fairly common 0.5-1 m shrubs on wash edges. Highly branched, branchlets with spinescent tips. Fruits mostly fallen.
